There are 800 million people living in the nations south of our border, the vast majority of whom live in desperate poverty and have no voice. An increasingly globalized world and diminishing resources is forcing us to look at our inter-connectedness. Global warming and loss of biodiversity, like most problems, are not confined to arbitrary borders. The top down style of management has brought us to the brink of disaster, the solutions must begin from the bottom up.
